It's also used to remove “peach fuzz,” the short, soft hairs on your face.


Dermaplaning can be used for any skin type and anyone with acne scars, dull skin, dry skin, sun-damaged skin or fine wrinkles. This procedure doesn't require any downtime for recovery, which makes it extremely convenient. The results can last up to three weeks. However, since your skin is always growing, you'll need to schedule appointments every few weeks to maintain your look.

The whole procedure typically takes around 30 minutes to an hour, depending on the area being treated. There is no discomfort during the treatment, and no downtime is required afterwards. You can immediately continue with your day, with noticeably improved skin texture and tone.

Pre and Post Care Instructions

Before your Dermaplaning appointment at Contour Laser Medi Spa, it's important to ensure your skin is clean and free from makeup. After your Dermaplaning treatment, your skin may appear slightly pink and feel a little like mild sunburn. We recommend applying a gentle moisturizer and a broad-spectrum sunblock of at least SPF 30. Avoid direct sunlight, strenuous exercise, saunas, and other heat sources for at least 24 hours after your treatment. Your skin will be particularly sensitive during this time, so treat it with care to enjoy the full benefits of your Dermaplaning treatment.
